Kinni
Sunset
(17" x 22") |
Schwark Art is currently
offering a limited-edition printing of its Kinni
Sunset.
The painting was featured in the River Falls Journal in December of 2006 after
it was selected by the American Diabetes Association to appear in its 2008 Gift
of Hope Calendar.
“My
painting is titled “Kinni Sunset” after a renowned trout stream that
runs through this area of
Wisconsin
known as the Kinnikinic. It was painted in watercolor. My hope is that it
conveys a sense of stillness and peace to those who view it. Despite the
fact that it is a winter scene, the open stream and warmth of coloration
lets you know that better days are ahead.”

This is a very
limited-edition of 25 giclee prints. Each print will be signed and numbered.
The cost will be $75 each plus tax. After prints have sold, we will offer 7
proofs (non-identical test prints created by the artist for purposes of
accurate color reproduction) before terminating the edition. That makes
these truly limited prints, unlike some artist’s limited-editions that
number in the hundreds or thousands.
Each print is
created on an Epson 4000 fine art printer using ultrachrome pigmented inks.
That makes these giclee prints, or
fine art reproductions, not posters as seen under glass in many
larger retail stores. The inks used are not the dye-based inks that come
from generic printers that fade in 3-5 years. The permanence of these very
special inks is rated at 100 years under normal conditions.
The
paper Schwark Art uses is Arches Infinity cold-pressed (textured) fine art
paper. It is 100% cotton, mould made, acid free and lignin free* with a
proprietary coating designed specifically for fine art prints of museum
quality. We believe it is the best.
* Acid and
lignin are two naturally occurring compounds found in wood pulp. Their
presence in paper can lead to yellowing and degradation of paper and image
quality.
